Live a life where your Lululemon leggings stop pilling. For good.
It isn’t a secret that Lululemon is the top brand out there when it comes to buying leggings. Whether its for working out, running errands or simply lounging on the couch, Lululemon leggings cant be beat. (facts are facts) Sure they are a bit on the pricer side, but you get what you pay for and Lululemon has top notch, flattering quality thats worth every penny. Plus, they have lifetime warranty on their products that TOO many people aren’t taking advantage of.

So. now that we know Lululemon leggings are the best, I looked a bit into what people where saying they disliked about the brand, and turns out, everything is either:
- Preventable by washing them properly (so many people don’t know how to wash their Lululemon leggings!!) OR
- Covered by their lifetime warranty
[Side note: Lululemon’s lifetime warranty DOES work. Last week, I hopped on their customer service page on their website, filled out a brief “complaint” form and 30 seconds later I got an instant message from a real customer service rep ready to help. I told her about a pair of leggings I received as a birthday gift 6 months ago that were pilling so bad it turned into a hole. After a few general questions she concluded they will be sending me a a full-refund electronic gift card once the Lululemon warehouse receives my faulty pair! Took 5 minutes, I didn’t need to submit a picture or show proof of purchase and customer service = 10/10 ]
Point is, there is no reason to ever own a pair of Lululemon leggings that look worn out and out of date. (which typically happens by people not washing them correctly.) If you own an expensive pair of leggings, you expect them to last a long time and look great. Nothing is more frustrating than a pair of leggings that attract fluff, lint and bobbles.
[A tip I have learned to fix minor cases of extra lint + bobbles on my leggings, sheets and sweaters is using a fabric shaver. They are affordable and keep your belongings looking new and fresh rather than crusty (sorry, gross word) and worn out. I haven’t used this on my Lululemon leggings, (because it isn’t necessary when washed properly *ahem) but my friend has, and it works great. Instead, I use it on my sheets, sweaters and anything that needs a quick fixer upper. You can get the same one on amazon by clicking the link below!]
Here are the steps you need to take to properly wash your Lululemon leggings:
- ALWAYS wash them inside out. This will help prevent color fade, pilling and that “crusty” look. If you have a stain or got the outside of the leggings dirty, I reccomend spot treating them before washing.
- NEVER EVER EVER wash them with cotton. Lululemon leggings should only be washed with the same synthetic material. To keep it safe (and the leggings looking brand new) I make sure to do a small, separate load of just my Lululemon leggings. Sure, its prob a bit extra, but im sorry these pups aren’t cheap so im taking every precaution out there.
- Wash on COLD unless the label specifies otherwise
- AIR DRY. This is probably the most annoying step of them all because no one wants to wait for their leggings to air dry, but no one wants their leggings to pill, attract lint or look like you bought them from Walmart. Pros and cons.
Follow these care-steps and you GUARANTEED a lifetime satisfaction with your new pair of Lululemon leggings. And if you’re not? Go to their website and let that customer service rep know, and you will be helped. Clearly I could go on and on and on about how great Lululemon is as a brand, but its time for you to figure it out for yourself. (and take care of them while your at it!!)
