Perks of this Healthy Banana Ice Cream:
- Gluten Free
- Dairy Free
- Grain Free
- No Added Sugar!
Ingredients:
- Frozen bananas
- Almond milk
- Cinnamon (optional)
- Peanut Butter (optional)
- Chocolate chips (optional)
How To Make The Ice Cream:
Step 1. Peel and chop 5-6 medium bananas. Put the chopped banana pieces in a gallon sized zip block bag and stick the bag in the freezer. Freeze for 6 hours (or overnight).
Step 2. Remove the bananas from the freezer and prep any additional ingredients you want to add. (I used peanut butter and chocolate chips!)
Step 3. Place the chopped bananas in a blender. Blend on LOW pulse. (It is best to blend on low, slow, pulse to avoid the ice cream getting to mushy.)
Step 4. Add a bit of almond milk to blender to get a smoother, ice cream consistency. Not too much though, you don’t want it to get runny!
Step 5. Add anything else you want! I typically add a tablespoon of Justins almond butter at this point. (Highly recommend) Any regular peanut butter, nut butter would be great! (Going to try Nutella next)
Another great touch is a dash of cinnamon, honey, or a tiny splash of vanilla extract. You can get creative with it as you go! I add chocolate chips last because I like the chunks.
Step 5. Remove from blender and serve!
Freeze the remainder in a freezer safe Tupperware dish. (These are my favorite from amazon!) Enjoy!!
